CheckPoint 360 Assessment

The Checkpoint 360°™ Survey – a Wiley product

Develop Leaders That Get Results!

The CheckPoint 360° online survey combines feedback from direct reports, peers, supervisors,

and others who work with your leaders to help them improve their performance in specific areas related

to effective leadership. Organizations can use feedback from the survey to identify talents, talent

gaps, and focus areas to build personalized development plans.

How does it work?

The number one in a blue circle.

Identify reference group to provide feedback about the leader.
(all participant responses are confidential except for the leaders’ and supervisors’ ratings).

The number two in a blue circle.

Participants receive an online invitation to complete the survey about the leader and their observed behaviors.
The leader being assessed will also complete the survey as a self-evaluation.

The number three in a blue circle.

Both the individual being assessed and their supervisors receive a comprehensive report
that will pinpoint areas of strength and opportunities for development.
Included in the individual report is a development guide full of suggestions as to
how to improve in what are identified as Focus Areas.

The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete, and measures 70 leadership behaviors grouped into 18 skillsets and eight universal management competencies, including: communication, leadership, adaptability, task management, relationships, production, development of others and personal development.

The data is presented in myriad ways to ensure the leader being assessed is able to glean valuable insights and doesn’t miss the point. Raters are also invited to share anonymous written comments that may add context to their ratings.

You may use the CheckPoint 360 by itself as a leadership development tool or blend it into an executive coaching engagement. We have experience in both scenarios. If you would like to simply use the CheckPoint 360 as a standalone tool, we would provide a trained facilitator to debrief the leader on the results in a 90-minute session. The leader may then create their own action plan coming out of the 360 or work with their manager, HRBP or preferred coach.

Assessments play an important role in coaching individuals and teams for development and in hiring. We have extensive experience using assessments in both capacities. Contact us to learn more about how assessments can be used productively in your company.
